Pool Tile Cleaning San Clemente

Surface Renewal Pool Tile Cleaning specializes in removing calcium and scale from pool tile, brick, stone and more WITHOUT HAVING TO DRAIN YOUR POOL AND CAUSING DAMAGE. Our state of the art pool tile cleaning service will have no impact on your daily routine, in fact most jobs take less than four hours to complete.

It's a know fact that not all pool tiles are created equal. There are glass pool tiles, ceramic pool tiles and porcelain pool tiles. Cleaning pool tiles requires special equipment to remove scale and calcium from the surface without causing damage. The most common method is using a sandblasting method using glass beads. The glass beads are so small they can fit through the holes of you cotton shirt fabric.

Another way is to use a high pressure washer and injecting a media called "Keiserite." This method used 4000 P.S.I. water sprayed extremely close to the surface. When this method is used, YOU WILL NEED TO DRAIN YOUR POOL COMPLETELY to remove the highly saturated pool water. This method will use approximately 100 to 150 LBS of salt minerals. If left in your pool to dissolve, your TDS level will be so high the scale can return in as little as a week! So if this method is used, SURFACE RENEWAL POOL TILE CLEANING DOES NOT USE OR RECOMMEND THIS METHOD, you the home owner will be responsible for these hidden costs
  • The Pool Tile Cleaning Service
  • Refilling of the Pool
  • The Start Up Chemicals
  • The Filter Cleaning

Did you know, that using too much pressure while bead blasting pool tile is the leading cause of damage and most importantly, the main reason the calcium buildup returns!

For that very reason, Surface Renewal Pool Tile Cleaning stepped away from the main stream and decided to take a VERY DIFFERENT APPROACH. The sandblast pots that are available to pool tile cleaners "REQUIRE 50 P.S.I." to operate. 50 P.S.I. is way too much pressure to clean pool tile. To fill the void and have a sandblast pot capable of operating at the extremely LOW pressure level required to clean pool tile without etching, we designed and fabricate our own sandblast pot! That's right, WE ACTUALLY DESIGN AND BUILD OUR OWN POOL TILE CLEANING EQUIPMENT! Our pool tile cleaning equipment is capable of operating as low as 10 P.S.I. Not only does it operate at extremely low pressure, it is also capable of using different medias. The reason we required the need to use different medias is to clean the more delicate glass tiles.

Pool Tile Cleaning by Surface Renewal

Every pool gets the calcium buildup on the pool tile. It's a fact of owning a pool in the South Western United States. There are a few ways to remove calcium and scale build up. SURFACE RENEWAL USES BEAD BLASTING AND SODA BLASTING ONLY! Here's why...

1.Bead Blasting (Media blasting using glass bead shot at low pressure)

Pro: Quick, efficient, low dust, non damaging below 30 PSI.

Con: Can't be used on glass tile. We clean our pool tiles at a LOW 20 lbs! We have specialized media blasting equipment that allows us to do that. We use different media for glass pool tile!

2.Soda Blasting w/ Magnesium Sulphate (Dry) 20 P.S.I.

Pro: It does not harm the pool tile surface. It is Ph neutral and eco-friendly. It is also water soluble and safe to use on glass tile.

Con: Minimal amount of dust.

Pressure washing glass pool tile will remove the tiles resulting in extremely expensive pool tile repair!

3.Pressure Washing with Media Injection @ 4500 PSI (VERY DANGEROUS)

PRESSURE WASHING POOL TILE DESTROYS GROUT AND REMOVES POOL TILES!

Pro: Will not harm the surface of the pool tile

Con: Pressure washing will eat away the grout and dislodge any loose tiles unlike bead blasting. Once the calcium is wet, it turns transparent, so some calcium will remain on the tile surface. Once the tile cleaning job is finished, you will need to have your filter cleaned, costing an additional $75.00 most times. This process incredibly messy and completely saturates the pool water, resulting in a quicker return of deposits! This is the least expensive way to start a pool tile cleaning business, so you get the least experienced people working on your property! To correctly bead blast or soda blast pool tile, requires extremely expensive, highly specialized equipment and the state license to do it legally!

Surface Renewal uses the tried and true method of Bead Blasting as well as the new to the industry Soda Blasting to remove scale and calcium deposits from EVERY SURFACE! We don't need to do a test spot to see if we can get it off, because we can! We bring all of our equipment with us to do the job right!

How to clean pool tile without causing damage.

Every single swimming pool in the south western united states will get calcium and scale buildup on their swimming pool tiles. Glass pool tiles, mosaic pool tiles, porcelain pool tile will all get calcium buildup on them. How can you prevent it? The first way is to monitor your total dissolved solids. If you live in the warmer climates of Arizona, Nevada or California, this is extremely important! The higher the rate of evaporation, the higher the rate of total dissolved solids will be introduced into your pool water. The higher the tds reading, the faster the rate of return of deposits on your pool tiles. One way to combat this is to drain off the high tds water in your pool for lower tds water.
After the water level has been lowered, you will notice the calcium ring on your pool tiles. Now would be a great time to have them cleaned. Every pool tile cleaner swears up and down that they have the best pool tile cleaning process. Here are some facts: Pool tile cleaning with bead blasting will damage pool tiles if the pressure is in excess of 30 psi. It WILL NOT harm the water quality. Bead blasting with a pressure under 30 psi WILL NOT HARM POOL TILE. Pool tile cleaners that lack the quality equipment to do this service should not be hired to work on your property. Pool tile cleaning with maxx strip pool tile cleaners will not damage the pool tile. It will however damage your grout and loosen your pool tiles which will then remove tiles from your pool. Using this pressure washing system will also saturate your pool water. Your pool filter will need to be cleaned afterwards costing additional money. Overly saturated pool water will raise the total dissolved solids. So the best way to remove calcium and scale deposits from pool tile is to bead blast them off with 20 psi. To find a qualified pool tile cleaner in your area google search "Licensed Pool Tile Cleaner"
or "20 psi Pool Tile Cleaner"
